Now's Your Chance to Dress Like Kate Middleton!

Issa London, the designer of the Duchess of Cambridge's famous blue wrap dress, is out with a mass-market collaboration

If you have eyes, you’ve probably noticed that Kate Middleton is just about the most exceptionally pulled-together dresser in the world -- not to mention the most imitated.

And now’s your chance to steal some of the new mom’s signature style: Issa London, the label behind the duchess’ blue-silk wrap engagement dress, has teamed up with Banana Republic to launch a collection available in select stores tomorrow.

It's the first time Issa has collaborated with a global retailer. The limited-edition 40-piece capsule collection includes prints, draping and an overall feminine look, with pieces like a zebra print kimono-sleeved dress, pebbled leather envelope clutch, statement gold chain necklaces and leather-wrapped bangles. Apparel ranges from $69.50 to $150, and jewelry and accessories from $39.50 to $150.

Excited? We are, yes. But the Duchess of Cambridge herself may not be. The Huffington Post notes that the blog What Kate Wore speculates she’s had a falling out with Issa for this reason: “Not only has the label's founder, Daniella Helayel, left the company, but prior to her departure she sold a controlling interest in the brand to Camilla al-Fayed. Why should that matter? Because her father, Mohamed al-Fayed, previous Harrod's owner, has been vocal in his belief the Royal Family is responsible for the death of his son, Dodi al-Fayed, along with Princess Diana. That topic is the subject of a film he financed, Unlawful Killing. In the movie the Queen is referred to as 'a gangster in a tiara' and Prince Philip is called a psychopath.” (Ouch.)

Would you shop Banana Republic's Issa London collection?
